Hello Viv,

We enjoyed our stay at Island View Cottages very much. In fact we sent a
review to booking.com a few days ago and found it hard to find anything
that was not up to or exceeding our expectations.

Aklid and Tony cared for us and the property very attentively. We felt
we had established a relationship with them by the end of our time there
but they respected our enjoyment of the peaceful setting and our
privacy. The setting is beautiful as you know and the cottage and
associated outdoor areas to sit and admire the view were very
aesthetically pleasing and allowed our full enjoyment of the beauty.

The activities we were able to do suited us perfectly too; endless beach
combing and bush walking, biking, snorkelling and swimming. It was
wonderful for us to have that all to ourselves for a week. We met quite
a few of the locals, both ni-Vanuatu and expatriate residents and
business operators so feel we gained some understanding of how the
community on the island functions.

All in all we had a fantastic time and have been telling people so ever
since.

· From the moment we arrived we were picked up and escorted to the island. They took us to the supermarket on the way to show us where it is and collect some food. The home was beautiful, quiet and the ideal spot for families or groups. It’s like having your own private home. It was easy to get between islands and to town for tours and just to walk around. They have wonderful staff there to help out at the house if you need washing or use of kayaks or bikes. Overall it was the perfect end to our trip and highly recommend this place. Great value for money and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay!

I have just returned from a Holiday spent at Island View Cottages which was wonderful, very hard to come by these days.

Aklid and her staff maintain a very high standard of hygiene and comfort and are very willing to make sure ones holiday is spent in a very relaxed and happy atmosphere.

The grounds with your quaint village appearance are also beautifully maintained. I especially loved the chickens, which I felt had been groomed before being allowed out.

A paradise for children who can run about freely and play.

The views of the ocean are very inviting and the jungle are unsurpassed.

A holiday to remember, Thank you I look forward to returning

Fantastic facilities on a gorgeous property with its own beach. Loved the bike rides around the island and the Freshwater plantation tour and food and snorkeling beach. Aklid and Tony were so welcoming and always happy to help.

With cyclone Rita looming, sea in front of property was too rough to snorkel.

If you are looking for calm, seclusion, nature and comfort then this is a good place. It’s a journey to get there, taxi, water taxi, then the manager who comes to pick us up. The babysitter is incredibly kind and very available. Very nice property and very well maintained. We have the sea for us.

For convenience, you have to do your shopping before going to the island . everything is fine.

AMAZING HOLIDAY - Hidden Gem

Island View Cottages was just AMAZING! Aklid and Tony are there whenever you need and go above and beyond to make your holiday special!!! The cottages are well equipped, comfortable and clean. The gardens and grass are immaculate with beautiful flowers everywhere. Super private and relaxing place. Having your own private beach to snorkel and watch sunset was incredible, super easy to get over to the mainland for adventures and day trips, which Aklid can organise transport for you if needed! 100% recommend and would go back in a heart beat! We stayed at Viv’s cottage in April 2019 for 6 nights with my partner and my parents.

We had a wonderful time. It was relaxing, quite, we had the entire property to ourselves, beach lounge chairs in the shade, hammocks etc our own private beach where you could get in the water and snorkel for hours as there is a reef right there.

The cottage is lovely, there is windows everywhere to allow fresh air and a breeze to come through the house. All covered with mosquito nets. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook. We got our supplies from the local market on the main island. There is also a fire place which can be used for cooking.

The family that looks after the house are on the property and very accommodating and helpful. Anything we needed they helped with. All transportation was very well organised and we never had to wait for anything.

My mom couldn’t stop saying she was in paradise on earth. We had such an amazing time and can’t wait to go back hopefully sometime soon.

What a wonderful and peaceful cottage. We were lucky to spend 4 nights at Island view cottage, enjoying every minute there. The garden is absolutely gorgeous, the cottage is lovely and you have all the kitchen items to cook your own delicious meals. The cottage was really clean, comfy, we had a huge terrace from where we enjoyed the sound of the sea all day! How lovely!! The sea is clear blue, the corals are stunning! And the last but not least Aklid the housekeeper, is an incredibly lovely person, she makes you feel unique, she is so welcoming and she is smiling all day, always here to help you no matter the day or the time. She made us feel like home! Tony is really helpful too, he is taking care of the garden and houses like nobody else! We'll definitely come back to this peaceful and relaxing paradise on earth!

Affordable family accommodation with amazing local on-site hospitality!

Our family of four (children aged 4 and 10) stayed at Island View Cottages for 2 weeks in January. It was a perfect holiday! Our days were filled with snorkelling (definitely the BEST snorkelling in the area was right off our beach at Cindy’s Reef), climbing trees, admiring the sunrise over the ocean, hermit crab races, bike rides exploring island, night walks to find coconut crabs and playing with the local Ni-Van children. Our children delighted in helping the caretakers collect the eggs and feed the baby chicks each day. Our 10 year old would often snorkel with Aklids’ son and he shared his local knowledge of reef and inhabitants, which she loved. We could choose to kick back and relax with a book in hammock or go on adventures- it was entirely up to us. Everything we could want for was supplied, including rides to the boat, Akland to take care of washing and a fully equipped kitchen so we could self-cater – kids loved exploring fresh food markets in town. We were even lucky enough for Aklid to make us traditional coconut rice one night with fresh coconut! There was total privacy and the children could run around and make as much noise as they wanted on the huge property- we did not feel the need to make sure they were quiet and contained which often happens in resorts! Having the space of a house, along with the on-site caretakers to answer all our questions and share their local knowledge made this a fantastic, relaxing and adventure filled holiday for the whole family. Thankyou Island View Cottages! We will be back!

This place is amazing, it takes a little while to get to town but this is made easy with really good hospitality, the place was amazing and we had it all to ourselves. Such a nice place to stay and relax. Right next to the water easy to swim or do activities. Having the whole place to yourself is just awesome.

What a great place to wind down and regenerate. The cottages are very comfortable and the surrounding grounds are beautifully maintained. Perhaps the best part of our stay was meeting Aklid and her family who looked after the cottages and the gardens and were very welcoming.
